He was about to return the question when the 5th year registered that the professor seemed curious as to what he was there for.
Might as well jump to the reveal.
"I...um wanted to give ye this frame," he answered bringing it up from behind his back where it had been held beforehand. "When I started drawing it , the ivy design came to mind and then I was reminded of class so finished it up with ye in mind," he explained, since that was how ti had happened. Gideon hadn't started out with the plan to give it to her, had in fact had no clue who to give whatever would develop to, but it had finished as a beautiful work.
Ahhh yes, quidditch season. Oh how she loved it, and missed it... she could hardly wait for the first match.
"Oh that's good to hear... I'm actually rather excited about it myself. I'm sure Selina's been training you quite hard." The girl was determined, there was no doubt about it, and Seren couldn't help but shake the feeling that her Captain was a bit of a shark when it came to quidditch.
She continued to listen as Gideon revealed he had also made her a picture frame. How delightful! And so nicely personalised too. She examined the frame, the eagle in the top right corner and the lion in the bottom left. This was definitely going on her cabinet.. or possible her bookshelf. Wherever it looked best perhaps.
"Oh my... Gideon it's beautiful, and such lovely craftsmanship, kudos!"
If her Lion didn't get full marks for this, then she didn't know what would.
