That's not what he was saying!
"I...didn't mean you were." He said, shaking his head.
"I'm not making them up either." He was just failing to remember if she'd mentioned something to him about himself while they were on the grounds that one time. So, really, he wasn't making anything up, because there was nothing in his mind to make up. Easy. And completely logical.
When she said that something wasn't right, though, he started to bite his lip. Louisa WAS right. And he had the feeling he knew WHY things weren't right. And...Dallin wasn't here, he kind of needed Dallin to BE here.
Treyen was completely lost in thought that he barely managed to listen to her next question. And...without giving it much thought, he answered,
"No, Dallin was the only one who had for a while," for an hour, to be more precise,
"But he returned it...when...," yes? He added nothing else.
"No, no Hufflepuff had it." Not that he recalled anyway. And now he seriously needed to have a word with his Patronus instructor.
His eyes widened almost immediately after she spoke again. Louisa thought he was mean? But that...actually made sense if one considered what she'd previously said.
"I...kind of don't think I am." Not really. He was mean to whoever deserved it. Like Tye. And...well, he'd apologized to Adeline, she didn't deserve it.
WHAT?!
Blink. He took a few steps back. The look of disbelief in his eyes was inevitable. Irritated by his ego?! Oh, for Merlin's sake! She probably pictured him as an entirely different person than the one he actually was.
"What?!" His thoughts left his mind, it seemed, since he spoke them. Yet he chuckled, and started to shake his head,
"That's...I don't believe it." He was more speaking to himself than replying to Louisa, clearly.
