She'd aim for three or four minutes tops.
...and then he was going to provide the cake and butterbeer for them to eat while they negotiated the rest of the house points. Hmm. She could handle that. "Deal," she finally said and dropped the tokens into his hand. "I'll see you soon, it seems. Have a good day, Mr..." She eyed him up and down. What was he called again? "...Murdoch."
They had a deal.
That was alot easier than Waylon thought it was going to be, and if he would have known earlier that they kids could be bribed with house points, he would have had them do his job from the very beginning! Okay, no he wouldn't have, but who was he to stop them if they wanted to help him out a bit? After all, there were alot of grounds for just one person to look after.
Nodding his head, sealing the deal for real, Waylon shoved the tokens she had placed in his hands in his pocket before grabbing his quill and parchment.
"That you will." he grinned, already looking forward to that cake SHE was going to bring him.
"Have a good day as well, Ms.. Slytherin girl." He wasn't good with last names.

Hi there...Oakey looked at the man wearing the Longbottom Hat, he hadn't met this guy yet, Oakey wasn't sure what to call him...Mr.Squaky-Hat-Kiosk-Man Hopefully he would correct Oakey on the obviously wrong name and they could get on with his getting of house points.
Mr. Squawky Hat Kiosk Man.
And yet another name to be called, but at least this one had the DECENCY to address the hat he was wearing. Waylon really did like it, it squawked after all!, and the longer he wore it, the more he was hoping no one wanted it. Yes, let all the children cash in their tokens for house points, let him keep the hat!
Grinning as the hat squawked in greeting to the boy, Waylon leaned forward on the counter.
"Mr. Murdoch might be easier to say." Not to mention quicker to say.
"What can I get for you?" Quote:

Shoving the tokens that Alyssa had placed into his hand into his pocket, Waylon had just placed the quill to the piece of parchment when she spoke up again. Asking for more house points?
Huh?
Using the feather part of the quill to scratch at his chin, he eyed the prizes she had before shaking his head sadly.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, kiddo." Even if he really did want to.
"Besides, you'll have plenty of time to get more house points." Eesh, the year wasn't even half over and kids were already freaking out.

Although, Kurumi couldn't help but feel that this had been the staff's plan all along. With everyone exchanging their coins for house points, that meant that the prizes could be divided up between them.
Sneaky sneaky adults.
Oh, a very good question. A question that he himself was wondering about.
Waylon glanced over his shoulder at all the prizes before turning back to face Kurumi. There were alot of prizes there, and since they weren't the types of prizes to go to waste..
"I suppose they will be put in safe keeping until we have something else like this." he gestured out towards the grounds,
this meaning the Fandango. Not that he knew if there would be anything similar again, but if the kids enjoyed themselves, there was no reason why there shouldn't be.
"I'm planning on keeping this hat, though." And he was sure William would like that animated dragon. And Oliver would like that deluxe box of pranks from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Hmm.. Medea might appreciate that deluxe box set of quills..

With how fast she was going, he wouldn't have been surprised if she took a dive right over the counter and tried to make a getaway with her arms full of prizes. Thankfully, nothing of the sort happened, he did not feel like chasing some kid down, and his face relaxed into a grin.
Good, good. Just wanting house points. She couldn't grab them and run away!
Pulling the parchment towards himself, he held out his free hand, waiting for the tokens to be dropped in it.
"Three tokens you have?" Hehe, it said so already.
"And do you need a drink?" All that running she did.
