Alyssa quickly noted down what the Professor said before writing down the ingredients for the potion they would be making today in class.

'The 5 C's of Potion Making. Who could forget that? Cleanliness, Care, Color, Concentration, Content. So Cleanliness would be the first one.'Alyssa thought to herself. Alyssa took out her wand and pointing it inside her cauldron, she said the incantation, "Scourgify" to clean it. She then put down her wand and checked the insides of her cauldron to make sure it was properly cleaned.

Once Alyssa was sure that her cauldron was clean, she checked it for cracks. Her cauldron had to be free from cracks to prevent any possible leakage later. She definitely did not need that to happen in this class. Once she was sure that her cauldron was in perfect condition, Alyssa picked up her wand again and pointing it inside her cauldron, she said the incantation, "Aguamenti" to fill her cauldron with water. Water poured out from her wand and once there was sufficient water in the cauldron, she stopped the water from flowing by saying "Finite" to end the spell before holstering her wand and waited for further instructions.
