Elise nodded and took down notes, copying the ingredients into her notebook. Standing up, she pulled her wand out of her left pocket and peered inside her cauldron.

First C of potion making, Cleanliness.

Wand in hand, Elise pointed it at the cauldron and circled it around the whole thing. "Scourgify," she muttered before peering in again. It looked clean, but she could never be too sure that Professor Lafay wouldn't turn the cauldron over. Performing the spell again, she repeated the process twice more until she was satisfied.

Okay. Now for water. "Aguamenti," she smiled, visualizing the cauldron brimming with water. A healthy stream erupted from her wand and just the right amount poured itself into the cauldron.
