I am merely used to chaos and such," she said with a chuckle as she took a seat in the chair he gestured to.
Waving a hand dismissively she chuckled once more as she crossed her ankles and sat rather primly in her seat. "I would not expect a man as busy as yourself, with an entire Ministry to run, to remember everyone before he even met them. No offense taken," she said sweetly. See! Jonah was VERY wrong about her. She was indeed pleasant and charming. Not frigid and the other nasty words he often used to describe her.
"Ah, well congratulations on the impending date, sir. I am sure she is one lucky woman." Well she was SURE of that, but not so sure if the Minister was lucking out with the lady he was marrying. "I must say, I did read the article that the Prophet put out about the fall of the Cult of Walpurgis. Great job with the coup, Minister." Mister Minister? Sir? Now these were terms Alexander wouldn definitely have to get used to. Sure, they were what every Slytherin's ambitious dreams were made of, but that didn't make them anymore familiar to Alexander. His entire life had changed in a matter of days, but he'd get used to it. He had to. He wanted to.
Minister Greingoth sounded perfect in reference to him. "Uneventful?" he questioned, trying to think back on a moment with things in his office hadn't been eventful. He laughed, although, not in an impolite way. "Oh, you just wait, Mrs. Scamander. You just wait," he said. Changing his tune a bit, he added, "A lot of the recent action hasn't been here in the office. It's been in the Atrium--first with a battle and then with a ball." They'd really been here and there lately.
His face brightened into a small smile as she congratulated him on the upcoming marriage. "Well, thank you, Mrs. Scamander," he said. Then he leaned over and whispered. "I lucked out with this one. Not so much with the last one, I'm afraid." Text Cut: Davvy_Wavvy Quote:

And quite possibly one of the more beautiful females in his department, but she would leave that little bit out of it. The man wasn't blind he could see that for himself. Alexander moved on then and shook the hand of another woman he'd had yet to meet. He looked at her with an expression that indicated he was trying to put a name with her face but was coming up with nothing. "Ahh, Mrs. Dacosta," he said. "Media Liaison, hmm? We've been needing one of those. Two, actually." He smiled at her. "Well, welcome to level one and to the Ministry of Magic." Text Cut: Nordic Witch Quote:

Seeing the Minister of Magic enter the cubicle area she hastily stood up, straightened her skirt and gave her a appearance a general look over in her cubicle mirror. She wasn't very vain but you had to look good when you met the Boss with the big B.
Following Layla forward Natasha extended her hand to the minister and flashed him a warm smile. "Natasha Warrington, media liaison." she introduced herself. Alexander grinned politely as he caught sight of the next woman abandoning her work and hastily standing up. "Hard at work," he commented, "I like that." He met her extended hand and gave it a shake. He met her eye to eye as she introduced herself. Alexander was usually good with putting names with faces, so the next time he saw her, he'd remember it for sure. "Ahh, so they did hire two of you," he commented, looking over at the Dacosta woman. "Well, make me look good," he jokingly said, looking from one to the other. "...and welcome to the Ministry, Mrs. Warrington." Text Cut: GrapehGrape Quote:

One of your newest Ministry Advisors. It's a pleasure to be working here." This man had no idea how excited Wally actually was. No. Idea. Alexander had to admit that he was pleasantly surprised at the greeting he'd walked in to. People were standing up left and right, and this next man was no exception. It was odd how a new title could do that a person--have people standing up for them and the such. As proud as he was to be the new Minister of Magic, Alexander was still grateful for the way in which the employees were currently acting. It was respect, and as long as they showed it to him, he'd show it to them. "Mr. Avery," he greeted, shaking the man's hand. "It's good to have you on board." He gave the man a sharp nod. "I look forward to working with you." Text Cut: hjhm Quote:

Alexander stood up as the Minister went inside their work stations. He stood up to greet him formally and for the first time too. Smiling to him he gestured his hand for a hand shake "Good day Minister Greingoth. Congratulations" he said, for being the new minister that is. Lord Borr was such a big royal pain to be dealing with anyway. Good thing he's no longer in power.
Oh... "Alexander Kim, one of the advisors" he added. He's hoping to work well with the new minister. "...and a good day to you," Alexander greeted, shaking this man's hand, as well. Ahh, another one of his Advisors. It was good to see that he had a seemingly strong and confident team to work with. If this man and Avery was any indication, he felt sure of the team that stood beside him. "Alexander, hmm? Mighty fine name indeed." He gave the man a small grin then added, "Thank you for the congratulations, Mr. Kim. I look forward to working with you."
Then he paused. "Kim, hmm? You wouldn't happen to have a son in Slytherin house, would you?" he asked. Text Cut: Poolicious Quote:

The red hair woman straightened her skirt and her robes before she greeted him. "Good Day, Minister. I'm Ruth Flitzpatrick, the new Internal Liaison Supervisor." she said and gave his hand a good shake and a polite nod. "And Congratulation for your engagement, Sir" she added. Finishing things up with greeting the Kim man, Alexander moved on down the line of employees. He tried his best to remember to smile to each of them, after all, they'd all stood up and come to congratulate him and shake his hand. That went a long way in the Minister's eyes. "Good day to you, too, Mrs. Flitzpatrick," he said. "Internal Liaison Supervisor, hmm? I'll be in touch with you soon. I think you'll find your first assignment to be coming along rather quickly."
He grinned proudly when she congratulated him on his engagement. "Well, thank you, Mrs. Flitzpatrick," he said. "I finally lucked out and made her mine." They'd be married soon, too. Only, he wasn't entirely sure of the date yet. Text Cut: redifer Quote:

She nodded to a few people she recognized from when she herself worked in this room and then turned and offered her hand to a small group of new faces. "Hello, Medea Ward." Glancing to the side of him, Alexander noted that Ward had received the memo and was joining them in the little meet and greet of employees. He gave her an acknowledging nod, but otherwise didn't interrupt as she, too, greeted the employees.
