So, not only was she going to feed his ducks for a whole week, she was going to bring him cake and butterbeer?
That seemed like alot of work just for a few extra points, didn't it? Who was he to complain, though? He got a week off from feeding the ducks! And if they did talk further negotiations, maybe he could get her to water the vegetables in the vegetable garden for a week as well.
He eyed the tokens in her hand as she jiggled them. "I'll give you your ten points now." Since she had ten tokens, not twelve. He knew that! "Then, after you feed the ducks," and bring him that cake, "we'll discuss giving you those other points." He wiggled his fingers for the tokens.
Sierra narrowed her eyes. This man couldn't be persuaded, now could he? Or, at least, he couldn't be persuaded to negotiate
immediately. She remained quiet as she considered his deal. Surely it couldn't take long amounts of time each time to stroll down to the pound, throw some food at the ducks--err,
to the ducks--and the head on back to the castle. She'd aim for three or four minutes tops.
...and then he was going to provide the cake and butterbeer for them to eat while they negotiated the rest of the house points. Hmm. She could handle that. "Deal," she finally said and dropped the tokens into his hand.
"I'll see you soon, it seems. Have a good day, Mr..." She eyed him up and down. What was he called again?
"...Murdoch." She grinned at him then turned on her heels and headed back to the castle.
