Honesty and trust were key things to successful relationships and that was what Ellie wanted. "I just want this to work." Her voice was quiet again. Because she was kind of contradicting what she said when she broke up with him. But she was taking at all back and hoping that Dallin realized that.
Hesitantly, Ellie moved her hand across the bench and rested it on Dallin's before looking up at his eyes again. Hopefully this was okay...? Honesty. Right. Dallin nodded sharply. He would give her one hundred percent honesty no matter what. Because that's what he wanted to do, too. He hated lying; he hardly ever did it and he was horrible at it. So honesty was always the best choice.
Ellie's last words stuck out to him. 'This.' Them? She wanted them to work. Well, so did Dallin. And he almost said so, but then she took his hand, distracting him. He looked down at her hand on top of his for a moment before he turned his over and interlocked his fingers with hers. Just such a small things was already making him feel better... "Do you want to be my girlfriend again?" He asked suddenly, quietly, still looking down at their hands. Maybe he was forgiving her too soon - she had forgiven him too, though. And what did it matter, anyway? It was their decision about when to fix things, so... why was Dallin even worrying? Eh.
