Aw! People used to isolate him?? That's so sad! "Well, probably everyone here made things explode when they were little, so nobody will think you're weird!" It was true after all. When he spoke about his mum, Sophie smiled again. "I'm sure she will!" Mum's were great! Sophie couldn't think about how her life would be without her mum.
Ian seemed to be impressed with quidditch. Really, who wouldn't be impressed? It's so awesome! "I know, it's so cool! I can't wait for the matches to begin!" She didn't play quidditch, but she knew she was a loooud fan!
Ian was a little enthralled with the young Sophie. She seemed much more mature than Ian, though she was obviously his age. He seemed to know so little about his new life, where she seemed to know so much.
He smiled when she commented that no one probably thought he was weird here. "Well, honestly, I haven't tried that theory out. I've not been very good at meeting people. You're one of the first people I've actually talked to at length since I arrived. It was easier than letting people judge me." He told her this with a little ache in his heart. He desperately wanted to fit in because he never really had at home, except when he was around the fishermen. He also smiled, thinking of his mum at home, doing what she always did. Cooking for the family and making sure everyone was ok.
He got a little excitement from hers. "Well, I suppose now...I can't wait either."
He was a little startled when she introduced him to a new person. A boy their own age. He obviously didn't sleep in the same room. Ian stammered out a response. "I-i-i don't think so." He sheepishly held out his hand. He was just getting used to one person and now another person was introduced. He took a deep breath. This was going to be interesting.
