Number 5 - The last one standing.
Ignoring the itching feeling in her hand, Kendra moved onto the final step of her homework. Reading her little sapling a bedtime story. She scratched the back of her head, the hair standing up on end as she did so. 'What fairy tale do you wish to hear?' She asked the small plant, as if waiting for an answer. 'How about...' She thought through the one's she had heard as a young child, the ones to send her to sleep.
How about the jungle book? It seemed about right, in this jungle of a greenhouse. The Ravenclaw cleared her throat and began, thankful that she had a relativly good memory to help her recall these tales that she had been told long, long ago.
'Deep in the jungle...' She began before rettelling the story to the plant, the best listener ever. Which sat there patiently in it's plant pot for the duration of the story, including the various bits where Kendra forgot large portions of the story and kept jumping between other stories which followed similar story lines.
After what seemed like hours, she finished and smiled. 'Ig uess that's it.' She said softly. 'I'll see you tommorow little sapling.' She gently pushed the bushling under the bench again, hidden under the darkness. Out of sight from the light. 'Sleep well.' She stood up, picking up her pieceo f paper before leaving the greenhouse, ready to come back the next day.
