The boys returned to the common room where there was a fresh pot of tea and cold milk. James poured a cup for Lily and took it over to her.
“Err… thanks Potter.”
“It’s okay, I didn’t poison it,” he said, replying to the look on her face. He sat down next to her. “Just drink it and give the cup to me,” he said.
She reluctantly did as she was told, and handed it back to James. He looked at the leaves and tried to read them for interpretation.
“Practicing already? Potter, Divination isn’t until third year,” Lily said.
