Why wasn't he excited about the school?? "Maybe he's homesick or something... Poor thing." she thought, giving him a warm smile. "I'm sure you're going to start loving Hogwarts pretty soon!" Who doesn't love Hogwarts, really? "I've loved it since our first feast! Everything's so great and awesome!" Her eyes twinkled and she bounced a little on the chair as she spoke.

Once again, Sophie blinked as the boy answered her question about the classes. Yeah, he surely was sad or whatever about something. Sophie started to worry a little. Why, whyyy wasn't he excited about the school?? She frowned a little before answering his question, but kept a little smile on her face. "I do love Transfiguration and Herbology!" And Charms and Flying! Heh. She had fun in all of those classes so far. The only one she didn't enjoy that much was Care of Magical Creatures, when they had to go into the Black Lake. That freaked the heck out of her. Aaanyways. "What are you reading there?" she tried looking at the cover of the book he was holding.
Ian saw the excitement in her face and body as she excitedly talked about Hogwarts. He wished he'd felt the same, but he was rather stuck to his old life, even if it wasn't the greatest. He really wished he could talk to his mum more. He really missed her, but he also knew how proud she was that he was getting to come here and learn how to live with his 'gift' as she called it. He tried to be excited, but it was tough for him. That and he hadn't really met anyone yet and all these kids seemed to be so attached to one another. He smiled just a little bit as she did describe it. The Hogwarts she described was wonderful.

He saw her blink and frown and he was a bit fearful that he had upset her by not having a favorite class. He did like the classes, but there was a lot to adjust to. Then she talked about her favorite classes. He did sort of enjoy herbology and the care of magical creatures. He was hoping to see the giant squid that was talked about. When she asked about the book he was reading, he held it up. It was titled, "Magical Britain. The legends of magic in the British Isles." He went on to explain. "Mum had this book at home, so when we were searching for textbooks, I happened upon it and thought I'd get a copy to see what she was reading" He wondered if she thought him odd.
