Heck, she was looking forward to it a bit more because she would hopefully learn something about the non-magical world outside of Japan. Christmas was more of a fashion, a trend if you will, where she was from, so perhaps this time around she could take a more critical eye to the film instead of hiding behind her hands.
Kurumi was just about to nibble on some of her popcorn when she saw Vickers enter the theater. She hadn't seen him very much so far this term, so she waved her hand at him. "Pssst, Vickers! Over here," she whispered. Maybe he could explain some of whatever was going to happen in this film to her.
He heard someone.... was that for him? More times than he'd care to admit he would turn to look just to realize it was meant for somebody else, which would further establish in his head that he was a loser nobody wanted to hang around with....
... then of course he thought he heard his name. Hmm.... how many Vickers are there in Hogwarts?
He dared to look around, bracing himself for another embarrassment when he thought he recognized one of the few friends he had in the school
"Kurumi?" he whispered back, shuffling his way towards where he heard the voice. The screen brightened up and he saw her profile clearly now.
"Hey there!" he whisper-greeted back, relieved for once.
"This seat taken?"
