I managed to catch a glance of the words to one of the pages he was playing and it was kinda weird and eerie because it talked about death. Then all of a sudden he started acting weird and then he went into a trance." Alyssa was equally alarmed as her friends. From what she had just seen happen here, it looked downright scary. But she was puzzled by how it happened. Was it the words in his notebook or the instrument? Or was it a combination of both that caused this to happen to Nate? Why would Nate have something in his possession that would cause him harm? Alyssa didn't want to alarm the others more than they already were, so she kept her thoughts to herself.
"I'm sure that Treyen will inform the Headmaster and Professor Hadley what happened here, once he has taken Nate to the Healer. The Healer will know what to do. Oh! I hope she does. Poor Nate! He definitely didn't deserve this to happen to him. Nobody does."
Sophie's eyes widened even more.
"They talked about death??" she shivered when spoke.
"That thing must've been cursed or something... it's the only reason it acted that way!" at least that Sophie was aware of...
"Healer Tillstorm will know what to do!" she actually trusted the nurse now.
"Professor Tate wouldn't let her be our healer if she wasn't good enough." she nodded twice while saying this.

Glenn asked them, she didn't want to have to mind everything she said when she sent mail, but then again, it would be better than being hurt.
"I'm just glad Treyen was here," Glenn said, "I don't know what we would've done if he hadn't been there to sort everything out."
Sophie turned her head to face Glenn and shook her head.
"I don't think they'll start checking our mail... Nate brought that thing with him on the train, I think." besides, it had happened only once, it wasn't like the school was being threatened or anything... right?
"Yeah, Treyen sorted it all out." that was his job as Head Boy anyway! Heh.
"I'm glad we're not trying to take care of things by ourselves anymore. The last time one of us ended up spewing candy all over, remember, Alyssa?" Not cool...

'What happened to that boy?' she asked concernedly, leaning into the conversation, 'is he ok? He's only a first year... thank goodness Treyen was here.'
Sophie let Glenn answer and then spoke to the other girl.
"Nate will be fine. Healer Tillstorm will know what to do!" she just hoped Nate wouldn't play that thing anymore...
"Oh, and I'm Sophie!" she added waving at her.

Of course this was a magical place, so perhaps the water wasn't nearly as cold as the environment would suggest.
He walked over and noticed that something seemed to have happened, but he didn't know any of the people left around and wasn't curious enough to ask. Of course no one noticed him as he took one of the nice, squishy chairs by the fireplace. It reminded him of home and he'd thought about trying to find some chestnuts to toast, but hadn't. He pulled out a large book that looked very much like the one his mum had bought in that shop in London and began to search the pages for anything to help him understand his new life better.
Phew! It all seemed to have been sorted out, finally! Sophie was thinking she would get used to those freaky things quite fast if they continued to happen this often. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing though... she walked towards one of the chairs by the fireplace and let herself fall on one of them.
She noticed the little boy that was reading there and stared at him. She had never seen him around and he looked her age! Weird.
"Hello there!" she said waving. Maybe he would see she was talking to him.
"I'm Sophie!"
