James and Sirius were late to Transfiguration.
“Five points from Gryffindor,” the Professor said, morphing into a human.
The two boys didn’t care about point deductions – “You can turn into a CAT?” James asked.

She gave them a stern look and they quickly went to sit down. Remus and Peter were up the front sitting together, next to – Lily!

“Hey Lily,” James waved, getting her attention.
He stopped when the Professor eyed him… again. He stopped talking before he was given detention.
He elbowed Sirius and said, “I like Evans.”
Sirius rolled his eyes at James, saying “I know, James!”
