Returning the bag of blood and bone mix to the cupboard, Stella took a moment to check the assignment again. She'd thought that there was only one more direction to follow, but making sure wasn't going to hurt. Her little fire seed plant could wait two seconds if it meant getting everything done correctly. And upon checking the page she'd copied the assignment onto, she nodded slightly. Only the bedtime story left, which made the fact she'd made sure to put one of her books from home in her bag that morning highly useful. Heading back to her bushling, though, she first took a handkerchief out of her bag and enlarged it so she wouldn't have to sit down on the ground.
Settling in, she pulled a small red book out of her bag, then glanced over at her fire seed plant. "I actually first heard this story in French, but this should be good enough. You probably understand English more anyway," she said quietly, as she opened the book to the page she was looking for. Once she'd found the story she'd decided on, she started reading, stil speaking quietly. It was supposed to be a bedtime story, so she didn't want to be too loud. Besides, it was fairly quiet in the greenhouse anyway. Her plant should be able to hear her either way. It took her a few minutes to finish the fairy tale, but once she'd finished she returned her book to her bag. Standing up again, she reversed the spell on her handkerchief, placed that back in her bag as well, then turned back to her fire seedling. "Faites de beaux rêves, little bushling," she murmured, sliding the strap of her bag over her shoulder before taking her leave. Hopefully she'd done everything she needed, for her plant to grow big and strong.
