Well, no point beating around the bush. Van smiled as she sat down.

Which he'd explain soon.
Aubrie smiled as Van mentioned her work against the cult.
"Thank you," she said softly. It was one of her works with MLE that she took pride in.
"I was glad I was able to participate in the resistance."
A promotion???? So soon after her start of a new job.
"Oh....ummm...yes of course," Aubrie stuttered out.
"I would love a promotion." Aubrie finally managed to get out. She sat up straighter waiting for more instructions about her promotion and what not.
