That's not what matter, it's the decision we choose to make to repair those mistakes that matter." Totally a quote from a book.
Oh and guess what? That adverse therapy worked out! Flashing a smirk, Carter shrugged one shoulder, "It's you that decide that." And Dallin. Who was going to get a similar lecture soon. "When you don't feel like smacking him in the face anymore or when you can control your sniffles around him... that would be the right time to let him know that this isn't working out." And by 'this' she meant staying away and trying to hurt each other to make them feel something.
The look on Louisa's face told Ellie that she had no idea what she was talking about. But, that was okay. Ellie didn't really know what she herself was talking about anyway, so she wasn't too offended when Louisa just nodded. Whatever. But Louisa word's of wisdom made Ellie raise an eyebrow.
"That was very... deep. But thank you." Because they actually were helpful. All that mattered was that Ellie repaired the mistakes that had been made.
And apparently, according to Dr. Louisa, it was up to Ellie to decide when to solve things with Dallin. When she didn't feel like smacking him, and when she didn't feel like crying her face off. And by "isn't working out", Ellie assumed she meant the separation of her and Dallin.
Ellie sighed.
"But what if he's not ready? What if I go to try and talk to him and he wants nothing to do with me?" That was always in the back of Ellie's mind; that maybe, Dallin still didn't want to talk to her. Or see her.
