Ella walked into the office quietly, trying to calm her nerves. She had never really liked speaking to adults because she felt she didn't ever express what she wanted to say correctly. Plus, Professor Williamson remembered her story...He called it great! Wow! At least that was a good sign.

Ella looked up at the Professor smiling sheepishly. "T-thanks Professor, I w-worked really hard on my homework." OK, that wasn't so bad...now deep breath and... "I just really wanted to apologize for my behavior at the lake during class. I shouldn't have gotten upset like that." Ella looked down at her shoes, recalling how upset she had gotten. "I should have-should have realized you were just trying to teach us a valuable lesson..." She looked up at the Professor, hoping he wasn't too upset with her.
