Oh well! All in the name of knowledge! "They were....something..."
William reached of his pumpkin juice and took his time drinking deeply from his goblet, all the while sneaking tiny glances at the Herbology professor out of the corner of his eye. "Ah, right, students. That's why we're all here, yes?" He smiled again kindly, and just as the blush in his cheeks went away, she had to go and say something that caused the tips of his ears to redden.
Merlin! "Well!" Time for a change of topic, he thought. Willy set his goblet back down and shifted in his chair. "How are YOUR lessons going? Are the students taking good care of your plants?"
After wiping her slightly sticky marmalade fingers on her napkin, and taking a refreshing, and very calming sip of her juice, Seren sat back in her seat, just enjoying what was left of her freedom for the day. She had some grouchy cobra lily's to discipline, honestly, why they thought snapping at each was a good idea, was beyond her. Temperamental children they were.
"Mmm yes, you know the love sick little people that wander around the grounds and come to see us to maybe learn something? ..." yeah... those students, that's what they were here for. Honestly though, the hand holing, whispering, blushy first and second years were somewhat confronting. Didn't they know about cooties?
"So far so good, nobodies died or disappeared, and the plants are doing quite well." ... hopefully none of that would change, otherwise she would have some seriously explaining to do. Seren didn't think Tate would appreciate the chat..
"Though I did have a Hufflepuff take a fireseed swimming." Not a very good idea, but they'd rectified the situation. Seren only hoped the boy wouldn't go and do something foolish again and kill the poor thing. Deaths were ever so sad.
