"Well," for starters, "the lesson WAS with Dash, so....... you can imagine how it went. Plus we sort of got followed by grindylows the whole time and Barty the Giant Squid popped up at the oddest of moments.... he was surprisingly helpful though, kind of acting like a guide when we were in the deepest part of the lake."

Not to mention that ol' Bartholomew Henry had smacked around a few students that had needed a good smacking. Heh.

Oh the flowers. She was BLUSHING. Awwww. William's cheeks started reddening again too. "They're for... for the g-g-g-g-ggillyweed." He swallowed awkwardly. "Because I know it's a hard plant to cultivate and you gave us a whole bunch of it and it was a good experience for the students and I'm sure you're as attached to your plants as I am to the animals and you're really nice and...." pretty

And he was going to be quiet now. William quickly averted his eyes from staring at Seren and went back to staring at his plate.

Taking a few petite bites of her toast, and chewing thoughtfully, she then set it back down on her plate and brushed the crumbs off her fingers.

Dash... of course. Seren rolled her eyes, her lips curling into a small smirk. "Ahh yes, I see your point... but you got yourself into that one." He had nobody to blame but himself. Not that Dash wasn't a good teacher, but he certainly needed a little personality adjustment. The man was far too serious for her liking, nothing at all like William. As for the grindylows and the giant squid.. "Sounds like fun, I'm sure the students were amused."

Sheesh Seren! quit your blushing! she thought to herself as she watched William turn a lovely shade of red as well. Chancing a glance around the Hall, Seren checked to make sure nobody was staring, it could be a potentially awkward moment to explain. But alas, it all appeared to be safe. Looking up at William again, Seren shook her head, words failing her.

"Oh... erm... no... it's fine, really," she managed, conscious that the colour in her cheeks hasn't drained. "It sounds like it was a wonderful experience, and as attached as I am to my plants, I'd do anything for the students..." Because if the students didn't come first, then why on earth would she be a teacher? "... and since you asked so nicely." How could she resist?
