Impedimenta.16
Sixth Year
Once he spotted Severus, Sirius whipped out his wand and held it pointed in his direction. He was using his other arm to stop Lily from getting in the way, but she wasn’t protesting.
“Impedimenta” he whispered, and the spell shot out and his Severus. Lily gasped and her hands flew over her mouth. She stood up, leaning so far over the rails to make sure both James and Severus were okay. The hex had been broken, and Severus had fallen backwards. Lily tried leaning forward more to see if she could spot him, just to see if he was okay – but she went over too far.
Screaming, she fell over the edge of the railings. She was bracing herself to hit the ground, but it never came. Strong hands embraced her, and everything was still. She opened her eyes and saw that she was in James’ arms. She blushed and said, “Thanks Potter,” and he replied, “My pleasure Lily, it was like catching a falling star,” and leant in to kiss her.
That kiss was interrupted by the other Marauders, and Professor Dumbledore, who was followed by Severus. “My office, all of you,” he said, looking very anxious.
