Remus and Lily walked back up to the common room. As soon as she sat on the long couch, Lily burst into tears. Remus sat down and put his arm around her, trying to comfort her. Unfortunately, James and Sirius banged open the portrait and walked inside. James saw Lily crying, and ran over to her, kneeling in front of her. He tried to pull her into a hug, which she just allowed. Sirius sat next to her.

“What happened?” he asked.
“Severus. He tried to apologise and…” Remus starting.
“I… I t-told him I c-couldn’t be fr-friends with him anymore,” Lily sobbed. The boys had no idea until now, just how close she was to him.
“I’m sorry Evans, I really am,” James whispered in her ear.
“Potter, I don’t want you to apologise. Just stop all of it, you too Black. I’ve had enough! It’s caused enough damage.”

“Evans I can Hex him with a Horn Tongue,” James said.
“I can pound the nose off of him,” Sirius said.
“Or we can just forgive him, and stay away from him,” Remus said.
“Potter! I said no, I don’t want any more of this. Just stop it,” Lily said.
