Braking Charm .3
Fifth Year
Lily, Remus, Sirius and Peter were sitting in the Gryffindor stall watching the Quidditch game between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. It was freezing outside, and Sirius was trying to put his arm around Lily to put James off his match, but she kept pinching him. And she pinched hard.
“Sirius, stop it. I mean it!” Lily said.
“Oh, come on Evans, I just want to keep you nice and warm,” Sirius said with his low voice. If she didn’t pretend to hate him so much, she could have let him put his arm around her. But she didn’t want to cause trouble between she and James. Wait – she didn’t what? That thought had surprised Lily, and she grasped the bench between she and Remus.
“Everything okay, Lily?” he asked, looking over her at Sirius.
“I didn’t do anything!” He said.
“No I’m… Oh gosh JAMES!” she yelled, stepping to the railing of the stall. “He’s going to crash!” she said loudly. Sirius roared out laughing, patting her on the back, when they watched James stop as soon as he had the snitch.
“Evans, don’t get your wand dirty, he used a Braking Charm.”
