There. Paulie had to admit that he was glad that Louisa had gone because for some reason he felt he could lash out a little better without her presence. Probably because then she couldn't admonish him for it at a later point.
Honestly! This was ridiculous. COMPLETELY. "Stinky slave labor," he reminded, harshly. "And it's not even like that! It's humorous, but it gets the point across at the same time." Yes, he was defending this blasted poster, and he didn't care if it'd take him two seconds to make a new one; that wasn't the point. "Mine is good," he said firmly. "No offense to Louisa's - it sounds real smart and all - but kids won't even look at it. It's boring, verbose, and.." He picked hers up because she must have forgotten to take it. "..'Never heat up the room with romance because it could burn you?' I mean.. really?" Now he was VERY glad that Louisa wasn't in the room, what with all this bashing of her poster and all. Unfortunately, he had to prove a point. Or try.. He pushed his poster back over towards Professor Hadley. "Concise. Funny. Bright. And kids will actually pay attention to it. I'm not making a new one." He sat back a little more and folded his arms because, you know, he had to look adamant and tough and stuff.
He frowned. What question? He debated even saying it, but eventually he did. "I asked if you were in a bad mood when you gave us detention."
