She opened the door to the Observatory and headed over to a telescope, placing her things on a table next to it.

And because of the fact that it was Friday, she took the opportunity to do her star, no..planet gazing. Yep, because she came here to look for a certain planet. One that she had not tried doing before. Beezus looked at her watch and wrote a log on her parchment as she started her observation.

Based on her Astronomy book, the planet she was going to observe would be visible twenty minutes after the sun sets and twenty minutes before the sun rises as well. But..because their Transfiguration class had taken longer than expected plus she needed to eat dinner first, she did not make it on time after the sun set. Now, she needed to wait until before the sun rises. Oh well..she was hoping she wouldn't fell asleep.

With that thought in mind, the young eaglet headed over to where the telescope was and crouched over it, adjusting its objectives. It was gonna be a long night for her so she hoped that someone would come and probably talk to her while they wait for Venus to appear. Oh! yes, she was going to observe Venus for that was the highlight of the written assignment that Professor Roslund gave them. She just wanted see the beautiful planet with her own eyes. After all, it was named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty.

So, while she was waiting..she peeked at the telescope and busied herself with gazing at some constellations. Beezus stood up and walked over to look at the Constellation Chart pinned on one side of the wall. "Hmmm..let's see..which constellation should be visible right now?" she questioned as her fingers traced the figures of the constellations there. And then, a certain one caught her eye. Beezus crossed her arms, "Phoenix eh? -48.57 degrees declination?" She thought for a moment as she bit her lip. "Oh, that would be fine. I guess the telescope can still see this," she mumbled as she walked back to where her telescope was.

She bent over and peeked on it. It should have taken her about ten minutes before she had focused it on the said constellation. "So.. that one's Phoenix." Beezus lilted cheekily as she moved further away from the telescope's lens. Maybe she could even spend the night alone just by looking at that constellation after all. Truly, it was just majestic.
Astronomy had to be the subject, Nessie struggled with the most but for some reason she still took it. She didn't get why it was so important to study all about the stars and planets, but in a weird sort of way it facinated her just a little. Either way, she had homework to do and she needed to get it done one way or another.

To her stargazing was exciting, although that was only if you did find galaxies or stars to look at in the first place. Seeing as she was a Hufflepuff, she was supposed to be a good finder, but when it came to looking in the skies her mind just went blank and she couldn't find much. When she looked at all the stars in the skyit was sort of like an optical illusion to her and it made her dizzy at times, but nonetheless she still enjoyed stargazing.

After having a small cup of coffee, Nessie walked to the observatory. It was a good thing she wasn't the only one there, because she knew she'd need assistance when it came to these things. She looked at the other girl, that looked younger and her and gave her a small grin. This girl somehow looked clever and Nessie instantly guessed that the girl was a Ravenclaw..because all eagles were clever right?

It looked like the girl knew what she was doing, and Nessie didn't want to start her gazing without making sure she had some assitance first. So biting her lip, Ness walked over to the younger girl. "Um..um..hey...would you mind helping me?" she asked a little nervous. This girl looked okay, but Ness had, had really bad experience with younger students and their reactions.
