In the midst of their cleaning, Louisa suddenly did a TOTAL freak-out, and Paulie was initially pretty alarmed just because of her reaction.. but it was only a few spiders. Oh lordy, she was such a girllll. "Are you allergic or somethin' like that?" Or just scared. Either way, Paulie doubted the professors would allow him to take a trip out to the grounds to free the spiders out there, so he'd have to crush them. "Sorry little fellas," Paulie apologized, before quickly smushing the three spiders he could find with his sponge. He leaned down and washed off the spider guts into the water.
