Taking her wand out from her pocket, Ariadne got distracted by its dirtiness and took a good five minutes to wipe it clean. Only after that did she cast 'Aguamenti' on a cup and then 'Chaudensis' to make the water boil.

After a few moments, the girl was pretty sure the water was boiling, so it was time to use it on the Fire Seed Bush. Carefully, she sprinkled as much water as she gauged the plant needed, and then moved on to read what was required for step three.
