William choked down the pumpkin juice in his goblet and breathed at last, clearing his throat awkwardly as he tried to pretend that.... that mess had never happened. "Seren," he greeted his coworker hoarsely. "Hello hello. It was... memorable. A good, memorable first lesson."
He tried to smile and gently gave the flowers a push toward her. "These are for you, by the way. As a thank-you." For the gillyweed.
Raising her eyebrows and resisting the urge the thump the grown man on the back, Seren sat... and watched as William had one of those 'awkward' moments. Sipping on her own juice, she waited for his choking to pass.
"You alright?" she asked, though he clearly wasn't.
After a short moment he seemed to have composed himself, so Seren took this opportunity to grab herself some toast with marmalade.
She couldn't help but smirk as William described his first lesson as memorable, and good and memorable at that.
"You sound like you're trying to convince yourself of that," she mused, peering over the top of her goblet as she took another sip.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeepp the flowers wren't just general decoration?! They were for HER?! Seren felt her cheeks grow red.
"Oh Will, thank you... but erm, whatever for?" she said pulling them a little closer and inhaling its sweet fragrance, though she wasn't quite sure what good deed she had done to deserve such a gesture.
