Post 1 - Dark enough?
Melanie found what she thought would be an ideal location for her Fire Seed. She had grown quite fond of the little guy through this whole process and she wanted to make sure he was comfortable. Her mother always said she got attached to things far too quickly, that she had a 'bleeding heart'. Melanie knew it was true. She even went so far as to name some of these inanimate objects that she unwittingly acquired an affection for. Her Fire Seed's name was Artemis, for instance.
"Now, let's see here," she mumbled to herself, positioning the pot just so, "I think it might still be a touch too bright for you here..." Melanie looked around and noticed a patch of clear glass where the ivy had not stretched that was allowing light to reach her pot. Well that simply would not do.
"Er...excuse me? Um...Ivy?" Melanie wasn't quite sure of the proper way to address a sentient plant. "Could you kindly block more of that light out...there?" she asked, pointing toward the offending spot.
Just as she was considering the futility of pointing when ivy doesn't have eyes, the vines began to creep across the glass, closing the gaps of white with green.
"Wow..." she breathed as she watched this seeming impossibility occur in front of her eyes. "Thank you...Ivy," she said awkwardly, giving the recently grown-in area a couple light pats of gratitude.
