She couldn't be sure. But the presence of those orchids calmed her nerves somewhat, they were rather pretty, and decorating the staff table like that wasn't such a bad idea. Kudos to him.
"Good morning Will," she greeted as she lazily poured herself a pumpkin juice and inspected the morning spread. "How'd the lesson go?"
Oh. Oh. Seren was here, already. Willy swallowed his hash browns suddenly, causing a great burning lump to go down his throat. "AWWWWAAAH!" he gasped, reaching for his goblet and nearly knocking over the vase of flowers in the process.
William choked down the pumpkin juice in his goblet and breathed at last, clearing his throat awkwardly as he tried to pretend that.... that mess had never happened. "Seren," he greeted his coworker hoarsely. "Hello hello. It was... memorable. A good, memorable first lesson."
He tried to smile and gently gave the flowers a push toward her. "These are for you, by the way. As a thank-you." For the gillyweed.
