It was the best he had done to say thanks for the gillyweed.
Arriving at the table, Willy peeked around the flowers, his face already red for some reason, and decided to just sit in Waylon's seat. That way he'd be next to Seren, and, and maybe be less awkward? He could eat fast, then when she got here, shove the flowers at her, mutter a thanks, and scram.
Yes, good plan. Feeling a bit better, Williamson carefully set the flowers down between the groundskeeper's place and the one to his left, and started piling food on his plate. Nothing to do but wait now.
By the time Seren decided to make her way to the Great Hall for breakfast, she was famished! Having woken early, earlier than normal, she'd busied herself in one of the greenhouses. If it hadn't have been for the honking daffodils reminding her it was breakfast time, she would have completely missed it. So here she was.
After striding past the Lions table--keeping a watchful eye on her cubs-- she then made her way along the dais to her seat. It wasn't until she'd actually sat down that she realised she wasn't alone. William... was sitting in Waylon's seat. Not another prank in the making was it?
She couldn't be sure. But the presence of those orchids calmed her nerves somewhat, they were rather pretty, and decorating the staff table like that wasn't such a bad idea. Kudos to him.
"Good morning Will," she greeted as she lazily poured herself a pumpkin juice and inspected the morning spread.
"How'd the lesson go?"
