Alyssa looked as the other student took their turn leaping from one lily pad to another. It didn't look that hard after all. It was like balancing on a surf board only there were no waves to push her off. So Alyssa studied the sequence of lily pads before she got ready to take her first leap. She ran a couple of steps back and then took off at a run. As she reached the edge of the lake, she kicked off and landed on Lily Pad 2. The moment she landed on it, she quickly went into a crouching position, to help maintain her center of gravity. Once she no longer felt Lily Pad stop wobbling, Alyssa slowly stood up and studied the next pad to land on. She decided to go for Lily Pad Number 6.

Slowly balancing herself and going as far back as she could to the edge of the pad she was on without falling off, Alyssa took 2 quick running steps and kicked off and landed on the pad she was aiming for. Once she landed, she immediately crouched down again, to help keep her balance and not fall off. Now for the next Lily Pad.
