Tayla went up to the observatory right after leaving Professor Roslund's office, keeping the note he had given her safely inside her robes. It was late afternoon, still too early for star-gazing, but she was already very excited. Tayla loved stars, and to have an assignment to watch them sounded very interesting to her.

"I hope I'll have someone up here with me," she thought suddenly. Star-gazing at night would, surely, make the place really dark. And she didn't like the idea of being alone in the dark and not being on her guard.
