He tried to call the students' attention to it, intending for them just to observe the creature since it wasn't attacking and they were too far away to do anything about it anyway. But then a GIRL had to go and CAST at it, which was surely going to antagonize the creature.

Well that's what he would have said, had he been able to talk anyway. He handed the girl her wand back with a stern glare and then shooed her on, clearly signalling for her to follow Scabior. Willy would trail the class with his wand out, now, on the lookout for any more grindylows. Vlimia had been scared enough, but then Prof. Williamson had to creep up on her and leave her defenseless! She whipped around, her auburn hair becoming free from her strict ponytail and moving around like seaweed. Almost like a reflex, she put one hand in front of her face for defense and a fist in front of the first hand. Peering through her fingers, she noticed it was only Prof. Williamson. Now she could relax... a little. The proffesor looked very mad, and Vlim had an instinct to back away, except then she would be closer to the Grindylow.
After a bit he gave back her wand, and she put it straight back in it's holster. It was a little over the top to come and take her wand soundlessy, but he was the proffesor. He could terrify her and disarm her and then say it was for her safety. Eager to move away, Vlimia swam at full speed towards Prof. Scabior, using the fear adrenaline that had built up from the shock Prof. Williamson had given her. When she was just a few feet behind Prof. Scabior, Vlim relaxed and swam at normal speed.
