Now, onto the more serious topic. The topic that actually had her fighting the urge to smile. Or laugh. Not to be rude of course or shoot down his concerns, though she had a sneaking suspicion about something. "Being muggleborn doesn't put you at a disadvantage Mister Goldstein. Many students probably don't know exactly vot to expect, so you aren't alone." Tilting her head to the side a little, for a moment, her gaze settled on the gummy bears on the table before moving back to the Gryffindor. A little more serious now.

"You can expect the class to be just like any other. I assure you, it has it's fun and boring parts." Also known as practical and theoretical portions. "And vot you vould need to do to 'defend yourself against the dark arts', you'll learn in the class. I can promise you won't be put against something you are not ready for if that's vot you're truly concerned about."
"Three cats? That's so cool." Not that normally owning cats was all that unordinary but Auggie's family didn't have them, therefore they were cool. He continued to poke his hand near the ground to get the attention of the cat that had been staring at him but then pulled his hand back to his lap, slightly embarrassed after nothing had happened.

Her comments about not being slowed down by being a Muggleborn did comfort the Gryffindor. "I really appreciate that Professor Romanos." He smiled as she talked about not putting him into anything dangerous at first.

"I know it must sound silly to someone like you," he nodded. "That teaches the subject for a living but it's just when I was reading a bit in my textbook I wasn't sure what to expect. I was just nervous I guess."
