Arya heard the spell being cast, and with a wide grin spreading across her face she took one final step-push, and sliiiide onto the now slippery cobblestone toward the flag, positive that she would probably get a small bruise for not casting a cushioning charm and not caring the least bit.
Not what the younger boy, whoever he was (she didn't turn to look), had in mind when he'd cast, was it? Hehe.

She was extending the boy's charm out to the flag when she heard another spell being cast at her.
"Protego!" No looks over at this one either! She had a flag to capture, and hopefully stop her sliding. She had not time to cast for stopping, see?
When Arya sliiiid over to the flag, she made a mighty reach for it.
