"Sounds like you like me." She pointed out. If she were less mature, she'd totally tease him like they were in second year again. But she just left it at that. He was an odd one, though. He hardly made any sense.
"That would mean risking the unknown in Texas, a place that you totally think sounds horrible." She pointed this out, shifting the plate in her hand... it was probably getting cold. She should get it to TJ soon. A small, short chuckle escaped the male's lips. "Not quite. I don't really know how to put it." Reward wasn't it. Was he trying to scare her off? Was that what it was? Maybe.
Again, the man shook his head, not completely sure how to respond to that. Like he liked her. As if. "I enjoy the fact that you enjoy flattering yourself so much," he smirked. There. What else was there to say anyway? Nothing, that's what. "It's quite refreshing." Maybe there was more to say. And maybe he did like her. But he just didn't know about it yet. "This is quite true. I'm not much for.. exploring nor testing the theories of others." Eventually he might, but since he had done that last year by getting a new job, he wasn't up for exploring more grounds just yet. Eventually, maybe. But not now.
His eyes wandered to her plate before the came back to his own. Once they parted ways, which he knew they would, he'd toss this useless, cold macaroni in the garbage and get some fresh stuff.
