And now he was upon her it was time to smile and pretend everything was okay. "My hand's fine Isaac," Amelia replied, giving him a smile that quickly turned into a wince when she moved her hand in an attempt to show that everything was alright. He definitely wasn't going to believe her now. "Actually it hurts a lot. I don't know what that girl was doing out there. I'm just glad she only hit me with the bludger that once," because any more times and she would have been crying like a baby while on the pitch. And that would have been the ultimate embarrassment. Second only to falling off a broom during a match without any outside stimuli. Amelia would know. She'd done that before during her first match.
Sitting down next to her, as she spoke he tilted his head to look at her, and saw the smile his own face matching her smile. Then he saw the wince! Wait and her eyes were kind of red too! "Ok, this is the second time ye looked like ye've been crying." he said softly. The first time he'd kind of deducted that it might have been due to missing her family, since it was the first night. But now?

When she said her hand hurt a lot, his face contorted into a worried look. "Some people are a bit more competitive even in tryouts." he said shaking his head, reaching for her injured hand. He knew a bit of first aid, not too much but could at least check if it was broken. "Can I see?" he asked softly "I'll be gentle I promise."
