Laura stared at the broom she knew if she didn't do what the Professor said then she would be in trouble but well the thought of her feet not touching the ground made her feel sick, after all if they were suppost to fly then surely they would have wings right like birds did.
Laura looked around to see what the other was doing and saw loads of them already practicing taking off and landing but Laura didn't know if she wanted to or now, now should she ask someone for help or not.
After having listened to the Professor talk, Gwen waited for a moment, letting the information sink in. She wasn’t so scared of flying, like she’d been in the past two years, but she couldn’t say that she liked it either. It was just… acceptable. At least holding her balance in the air wasn’t a problem anymore. But if flaming barrels would appear at this lesson, Gwen was out of here! For sure.
‘Right’, the girl mumbled to herself and finally decided to start, noticing that almost everyone else was up in the air.
Here goes…, she told herself while beginning to fly. While flying slowly upwards, Gwendolyn scanned the place, just to make sure she wasn’t loosing too much time in the air.
It would be weird if everyone already finished this part of the lesson…
As soon as she decided to speed up, Gwendolyn noticed a girl sitting on her broomstick and just… looking around. Yeah, she probably looked just like Gwen at her first flying lesson.
But maybe she isn’t as scared as I was, she thought and started flying towards the other girl. She'll have to practice the landing, anyway.
‘Hi there’, she waved quickly, and then grabbed back the broomstick with her hand, just to make sure she won’t loose her balance. And look stupid.
‘Are you all right?’, the third year asked, actually trying to help. She was no expert, but she could help. Yes, she could.
