"As you all identified this spell is in Latin, although not all are - so it's best to remember that. And some words can translate with more than one meaning. The ones relevant to this particular incantation I've written on the board for you all to see."
Wiping her hands to get rid of the chalk dust, Isabelle walked back over to her desk and cleared a space in the middle of it. Placing a piece of paper in that space she looked up at the kids and smiled. "Now, we'll be working with the photo's you brought along with you. It is the same spell, and wand movement. But I'm going to show you how it can work differently depending on your intent. However for this to work properly the paper and picture need to be laying flat, so I can't demonstrate the way I did the first time."
Resting her hands on the desk she took a deep intake of breath and licked her lips. "So what I need you all to do is gather round my desk here. You all need to be able to see what happens. Come on up and find a space where you can see the middle of the desk, and the piece of paper clearly. Also - would one of you mind volunteering to let me use your photo? I promise it won't be damaged."
Oh. Right. Lewis went to write that down right away, to make sure he'd remember it next time. Not that he thought that there was a next time he would need to know where the name of the spell derived from but you know. His OWLs maybe or something. Either way, he just felt the need to write it down.
Okay, now they were going to be working with those photos they'd had to bring. Lewis got up from his seat when she told them to gather around her desk. CLATTER! He looked down in surprise upon hearing that noise and found himself staring at the frame which had still been in his lap. Oh, right that. Hoping nobody had noticed anything he quickly knelt down next to it - and under the desk - and pointed his wand at it. "Reverto!" He muttered as quietly as he could without making the spell not work.
Glad to see the frame had changed back to a piece of paper, Lewis picked it up and put it back onto his desk. Now...he was quite late to walk up to the front. Almost everybody else had already gathered around the professor's desk. Slowly, Lewis made his way to the front as well and tried to get a good look at the desk. Which was almost impossible with all those other people in front of him. His eyes flickered to one of the vacated chairs for a moment. But no, then he would stand out too much. He didn't like that.
So, tip-toes it was going to be. Sigh.
