Okay so now they were actually going to handle the seeds, replanting and repopulating them as Professor Bentley had mentioned earlier. With his notes up to date, including the last part the woman had added, Gideon got up to his feet from his perch to start on his work. He slipped on his dragon hide gloves and left his belongings to retrieve a pot and goggles. Once he had selected one that he was satisfied with, The Gryffindor brought them both back to his work area.

He was about to simply cast the spell when he decided he wanted to claim it as his own to look after its growth. Sometimes it was more fun that way, to see how it progressed over time rather then just plant and forget it. Debating on how to do so, Gideon finally attempted to mark it with ink from his quill. It took a few swipes but eventually he got a decent-looking GG on the side of the pot so he and others could see it belonged to Gideon Gert at least for the term.

"Now for charming the pot..." Gideon mused quietly almost to himself, picking up his wand. Focusing on what they had just learned with the spell, he took a deep breath before doing what he had to do. "Chaudensis," he cast, his wand moving as directed in the circular motion. The 5th year felt the spell take effect, letting go of his focus as he figured it to be working well enough.

Quote:
1. Charm pot to heat itself.
2. Fill half of pot up with soil and let it rest for several minutes to warm up.
3. Carefully take a single fire seed with dragon hide gloves and place on top of the soil.
4. Cover fire seed with soil, so that pot is filled. Pat the soil down a little (not too much, you don't want to suffocate it).
5. Water the fire seed with boiling water, without drowning it.
