Were her math skills up to par? Cadence considered for a moment. She'd never liked math - not when she was in Muggle school, and especially not in magic school, Arithmancy was SUCH an AWFUL subject - but she wasn't completely horrible at it. The math that she was sure they be using - adding and subtracting and multiplying and maybe dividing - that basic stuff she could do. She didn't really get a chance to answer the Boss Lady's question because suddenly she was standing and telling Cadence to follow her, but the twenty-two-year-old managed to get a quick "yes," in there to answer her question before standing and following.

"And this," Asami stepped into the owlery, holding one of the double doors open for the younger woman to enter first. "Is the owlery." The manager had been giving the girl a tour of the place ever since they'd left her office.

Of the private areas at least, telling her mostly mundane bits of information. And now they'd reached one of the places the public could visit and where she would be spending most of her time at first, the owl's home. Heh.

Some of the owls were just returning from long journeys, while others were departing, and the rest... sleeping. She looked at them fondly and waited for her soon-to-be new assistant.

Head on in, new girl.
