He couldn't come close to my awesomeness even if he had a light saber and was a Sith Lord. And yeah." He said laughing.
Everett noticed suddenly that the serious conversation had begun, as she started looking at him seriously and she pulled off the necklace he hadn't really paid any attention. Serious conversation. Right. He never liked those too much. "I know. So might as well get it out of the way now, right?" He said, sighing and looking away from her briefly to glance at the ducks in the lake. "So..."
"Yes really, but don't worry, maybe when I get the title, we can share it, be awesome together." Maybelle said, then stuck her tongue out at Everett.
"I am nice to the rocks, it's not like I'm chucking them." Cuz that would be mean. She smiled, and shook her head.
"Have I ever told you that you are kind of a nerd?" She asked, because he was. A cool one. A cool, cocky, nerd.
Right, serious time. Maybelle took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Yeah, might as well." She said,
"Otherwise, it will only linger in the air. Forever." She let the words linger for a bit before moving on.
"So, you know that I like you, but there is some complications..." She didn't say his name, but hopefully Everett knew who she was talking about.
"And there is the fact that I have no clue how you feel..." She said.
"This is crazy, right? I mean, it's my final year, and you're only a Sixth year, and you're a Slytherin, and I'm a Hufflepuff." Maybelle was just making everything harder.
"It couldn't work, could it?" She asked, her big brown eyes started filling with tears....tears of confusion. Her eyes widened as Maybelle looked at Everett, waiting for his response.
