"If you happen to be swimming under the lake," which they all would be, "and you find a grindylow clamped onto your ankle, for example, you need to remember to use the Revulsion Jinx." William flicked his wand into his hand to demonstrate as he spoke. "The incantation is 'Relashio!' and the wand movement is a sharp jab. You may go ahead and practice that now."

He nodded toward Scabior and then moved over to a bush down by the lake, dragging back to giant burlap sacks.

"While some of you practice the spell, others of you can go ahead and change into your swimsuits, because yes, we are going under the lake. The boys' suits are in the left bag and the girls' are in the right." He smirked proudly and pulled out matching Slytherin wetsuits for Dash and one for himself too. "Go ahead and change behind these screens," William walked over to one and tapped it, revealing the disillusioned changing station that had been there all along, "and TRY not to make your classmates feel awkward in their bathing outfits, all right?"

One more thing: "Any questions?"

ooc: okay, so, you have two tasks to do: 1) practice the relashio spell (you can practice on each other, but beware, it hurts! and 2) change into your suits! GET READY, cuz class will resume at around 6:00 pm EST.

Alyssa was sad when the Giant Squid returned to the lake. But then she brightened up when she heard that they would be taking a swim in the lake. She loved swimming. However, she did remember that swimming in the Black Lake would be different because there were magical creatures in there, some dangerous. She was glad to hear tthat they would be eating gillyweed instead of using the Bubblehead charm because that sounded so uncomfortable. She did however hope that the gillyweed didn't taste as bad as it sounded.

Making sure that she had got all the instructions correct, Alyssa walked over to the burlap sack lying on the right, reached in and pulled out a very unflattering women suit. It reminded her of the wet suits that she wore when she surfed. She went over to the changing station and changed into her suit. As she was changing, she heard someone ask her a question.

Alyssa was puzzled that Beatrice had asked her that question, especially when this class was about Care of Magical Creatures and History of Magic. But she guessed it was because they were going to use the Revulsion Jinx. However, she was afraid that if she got caught answering a question that wasn't asked by either of the Professors, that she would get points deducted for her, so she quickly wrote down the answers in her journal and tore out the page and gave it to Beatrice.

Once she was done changing, Alyssa exited from the changing station and started to practice on how to cast the Revulsion Jinx. The incantation was "Relashio" and the wand movement was a sharp jab. She first practiced the incantation saying the words, "Relashio....Relashio...Relashio", then she practiced the wand movement. Taking out her wand she jabbed with it a couple of times. Now to use the wand and say the incantation at the same time.

But Alyssa didn't want to hurt anyone while practising that spell unless she absolutely had to. So she took a ribbon out of her pocket and tied it tightly around a stone lying on the ground. Taking her wand, she pointed and jabbed it at the ribbon pointing and said, "Relashio". The ribbon immediately fell off from the stone. Alyssa hoped that the spell would work just as well when it came to having the Grindylow release her from it's grip. But practice makes perfect.

On her second attempt, Alyssa took out a strong twine from her bag and tied it tightly around her left arm as if to imitate a Grindylow's grip on her. 'Better me, than hurt someone else instead,'Alyssa thought to herself.

Taking a deep breath, she took her wand and jabbed it at the twine that was tied tightly around her left arm, saying the incantation at the same time,"Relashio". Alyssa felt a sharp sting as the spell hit the twine around her arm. The twine immediately released its grip around her arm. She didn't know which hurt more, the blood rushing back to her arm after having it's circulation cut off from the twine tightly tied around her arm, or the sting from the effects of the spell. Alyssa figured that she could live with the sting. At least no one got hurt in the process. She figured that she would rest for awhile before trying it again.
