Even though Stella had been quiet during the discussion, she hadn't been not paying attention. Especially as they were apparently dealing with fire seeds, at which point she was once again glad she'd pulled her hair back in the French braid before class. She also had been taking notes as quickly as possible, but she'd looked up from the parchment as they were told to practice an incantation. That was something she could definitely handle, as spells were her thing. Plus, she figured they weren't about to be faced by any pixies this lesson, or the baby elf, so she could relax. Although first she wrote down the instructions that Professor Bentley had written on the blackboard.

Text Cut: notes
Planting fire seeds

1. Charm pot to heat itself.
2. Fill half of pot up with soil and let it rest for several minutes to warm up.
3. Carefully take a single fire seed with dragon hide gloves and place on top of the soil.
4. Cover fire seed with soil, so that pot is filled. Pat the soil down a little (not too much, you don't want to suffocate it).
5. Water the fire seed with boiling water, without drowning it.

Once that was taken care of, she set her notes down and took a deep breath. "Chaw-den-sis," she murmured, making sure she was pronouncing it the same way the professor had. At first it sounded weird, because she felt like her voice wanted to sound French again, but after a few repetitions, she felt confident enough to speak louder. "Chaw-den-sis, chaudensis, chaudensis..." Now she just had to find out the rest of the details of the spell, and then she could get the rest of the practical portion of the lesson over with.
