Kendra replied, reaching the hand without the rat in and shaking the girls hand. 'Nice to meet you.'
Even though she really didn’t like rats, Gwen tried to act normal.
It is just a pet. It won’t scratch or bite- right? Riiiight? Hopefully… And that rat even thinks it is cheese? Psh… please. ‘What’s your rat’s name, anyway?’, Gwendolyn asked and looked at the pet.
Maybe it isn’t so bad… ‘Nice to meet you too’, the third year said while shaking Kendra’s hand.
‘Though- I think I’ve seen you at the Sorting Ceremony… errr… you are a first year, right?’, Gwen smirked and waited to see if she was correct. Suppose she was indeed new at Hogwarts, the third year went on talking:
‘So how do you like it here so far?’
Glimpsing at her trunk for a second, the Ravenclaw spotted her cat, Jinx playing with the Sneakoscope Ari had landed to her.
‘Hmph’, she chuckled.
So the cat was busy- hopefully the Sneakoscope was more interesting than the rat, and Jinx wouldn’t chase him around. Quote:

Presley nodded. Lots of things had changed lately. She felt as though she'd returned to a Hogwarts that had gone through a grounds-makeover. Everything about the castle seemed the same to her, but the lawn had some new additions, and the tree-house was missing. Which was sad, since it had been something Presley really liked. "Yeah, I did see it actually. I haven't had time to explore it yet, but I noticed it on my jog yesterday. I was thinking about going down there this afternoon and checking out all of the renovations."
Was she all right? Of course! "Yeah, I'm great," Presley assured Gwen. "I just kinda...I don't know. I feel like I need a really hard question or a riddle or something to answer. I almost want to walk in and out of the common room a ton of times so that I'll have to think about riddles and answers, but the knocker usually doesn't debate your answer with you, ya know?" It just told you whether your logic was sound or not.
‘Nono’, Gwen began saying and gestured with her hand.
‘Don’t get me wrong… Err… I’m just feeling that I have so much to do and so little time’, the third year tried to explain.
Feeling long?! Psh…, Gwen told herself, but tried not to laugh.
That would be a bit too rude. ‘There’s a lot to see, but my favorite place remains the topiary garden’, Gwendolyn mused and started remembering the wonderful time she spent there with her friends earlier that day.
‘I still haven’t seen what has changed in the castle. My friend Jory told me there’s something like a theatre…’ Although Gwen wasn’t sure that was so interesting.
Meh… just something made by muggles.
‘Then again, I can’t even tell what changed in the castle, since I haven’t seen all of it in the past two years. Yesterday I came across a hideous tapestry- something with trolls trained for ballet. Hideous!’ Not to mention ancient! ‘Huh?!’, the third year said, looking really surprised. She knew Presley liked riddles, but wasn’t this a bit much?
Err. ‘All riiight…?’, Gwen said, looking really puzzled.
Anyway- I’m not going to start a debate… Merlin knows how that would end, she told herself and remembered how the last debates with some students ended.
Urgh. Getting mad at people…
