Hopefully not. "I gather that they were frequent visitors in the detention hall?" This was probably why Headmaster Tate had given them both a stern warning at the feast. Shrugging Edvard commented "All of the new staff are unfamiliar to me. I hope the Defense professor doesn't up and leave in the middle of term like her predecessor did."
Thinking back to his summer Edvard reminisced "After restoring the observatory I went on vacation with my folks and extended family to the Canary Islands, 2 weeks of sun and sand. Then i helped my sister to move into her new house. The last few weeks before term I spent in Diagon Alley stocking up for the new year." "What did you do over the summer?"
"I don't really KNOW." Althea answered, not quite the withering, impatient tone she'd use with others, since Eddie was her friend. "It isn't like I spent all that much time tracking them." Seriously. "I graduated several years before they did." And really, most older students did not pay attention in detail to what the younger ones did.
"It wasn't even the middle of the term." Really. She wondered what that said about Tate's hiring practices? Well he was just lucky to have her wasn't he? "I'm glad I don't have to take that class any more." Once had been enough.
And Eddie, she supposed.
Althea listened as he recounted his summer.
"That sounds nice. I myself spent some time with family... my sister just got married." So that had taken up a great majority of the summer of course.
