He'd been wandering around the school, hoping to catch him once so he could see his awkward best friend- but alas! The sixteen year old was nowhere to be found. So he eventually gave up.
After he returned to the common room, he settled down on the couch and picked up his book. He'd spent a long time looking for his best friend, and now it was reading time- finding Adam could wait. For now.
Adam dragged his feet behind him as he walked into the common. It had been one of those days where he didn't care where he'd rest. He could be in a room full of screaming, chattering first years an still manage to pass out somewhere, that's how tired he felt.
A ray of sunshine came over him when he spotted Chris on the couch, as always reading a book. Adam smirked at himself as he always found Chris reading a book. "
Honestly, like I've said you better marry one of your books, Chris." Adam teased him. He was more than certain by just saying that, if Chris didn't look up he could easily figure out who was making fun of his love for reading.
