"Well..." Isobel trailed off. She was not really very comfortable sharing her feelings with other people. But this was
Damien so it was okay.
"I did not go to France, which is something I have done every summer for my entire life." Actually, it used to be during the school year, but that was beside the point.
"I-I don't know why I stayed home when I wanted to go to France so badly." She did, though. Deep down, Isobel knew why she had stayed home. That would take some prompting though, and if anyone could get her to reveal something that she was denying from herself it would be Damien.
Isobel was getting all sad now. Why was that always the case when she talked to Damien. It was probably because she felt that she could talk to him about anything. Anything including things that were making her sad. At the same time, it made her less sad to talk about them than to keep those feelings locked up inside her. So it was really a good thing.
"I'll be right back." Isobel shrugged Damien's arm off of her and ran upstairs to her dormitory with her journal in her hand. She threw her journal onto her bed and grabbed
Roza from where she was laying on Isobel's pillow. She was so tiny that it took Isobel a few seconds to find her, but not too long because Roza was always in the same place.
When Isobel got back to the common room she found Damien standing right where she had left him. Isobel stowed Roza in her pocket so she would not get stepped on and she took Damien's hand.
"We should go somewhere; do something interesting." Talk about happy things.
